Hello everyone, is product review time again. This time I’ll be reviewing a product that can seal and set your makeup for this summer. Setting your makeup is very important especially during the hot season. Check out my summer tips for you to look flawless this season.
Here you go, the Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix Setting Spray is what I used to set my makeup. Make Up For Ever has served all beauties lovers for more than 25 years. It has been the go-to color brand for beauty professionals and make up enthusiasts around the world. Created by renowned Parisian makeup artist Dany Sanz, who was originally a painter and sculptor, MAKE UP FOR EVER is at the forefront of high-performance, innovative makeup with vibrant shades and truly long-lasting formulas.
What it is:
A universal setting spray that locks in makeup and keeps color fresh. This light and comfortable mist seals the makeup and keeps it in place by coating the skin with a weightless and invisible film. The mist provides a continuous protection for the makeup and skin against external attacks (pollution, temperature variations…) by creating a colorless and imperceptible shield made from active hydrating ingredients.
What it does:
A lightweight, non-sticky secret weapon for longer lasting makeup, Mist & Fix creates a sweat-proof, rub-resistant barrier for fresh-looking makeup that lasts up to 12 hours. It increases hydration for a silky, smooth appearance and won’t dry skin out. This product is formulated with a complex to boost oxygenation and deliver a healthy-looking, radiant glow.
What else you need to know:
This formula is ideal for all skin types, and should be applied as the last step in your daily makeup routine. It is dermatologist tested and alcohol-free.
In an instrumental test on 15 volunteers measuring makeup lasting 12 hours after Mist & Fix application:

I get to know about this product when I’m searching for a setting spray in Sephora. After trying it, I’m loving it. I have been using this for a year now. The main reasons for me to purchase this is because of the alcohol-free properties. I think alcohol-free products will make the skin less sensitive. I’ll suggest this to people with dry skin. It’s very moisturizing and hydrating due to the oxygen complex in it. There’s some comments arguing that this setting spray do nothing to oily skin. Me, myself have combination skin, sometimes do have some dry patches on my spots area. My trick is spray a very light layer before adding setting powder and spray another layer after the whole makeup is done. For the last spray, sometimes I’ll just let it dry naturally (if I’m in a rush) or I’ll use hair dyer to blow dry it with a low heat. I find this tricks do help my makeup to last a bit longer. Although I still need to do a little bit of touch up after 5-6 hours, but I’m okay with it. For touch up, I’ll spray this mist over my whole face and use a tissue to lightly pat my skin. This is to keep my skin moisturize for the makeup to stay better. After fixing the makeup, I’ll then spray this mist again. This setting spray is like a water spray type, thus the mist will not be as fine as others brand. Overall, I’ll give this product a 4.5 stars out of 5.
