Sebamed Everyday Shampoo pH5.5

Hello everyone, it’s product review time again. Getting a good shampoo for your hair and scalp can be difficult. Recently, a famous Korean beauty show “Get It Beauty” has point out that many people buy hair products especially shampoo and hair conditioner in bulk or large sizes to save money. Then, they will use that product until it’s gone, not conscious of their hair’s current condition. This situation can be very bad for the hair and scalp. Another problem is no matter how well you treat your hair and give it the best products, it just doesn’t completely get better, right? The main concern for this issue is Scalp Care. It seems that most people don’t give a second thought to their scalp. In reality, a healthy scalp leads to strong, healthy hair!

In the mist of searching a good shampoo for myself, I came across this hair product from Sebamed which is Everyday Shampoo for normal to dry hair and scalp.

Ingredients list as show on the packaging.

Reviews: Overall, I will say it’s a good product for sensitive or easily irritated or inflamed scalp due to the pH 5.5 value that’s ideal for healthy skin. It’s very mild and calm. On my point of views, I’m not to say flavoring it much but also not to say disliking it. The reasons for it might be I’m use to it (or maybe prefer) a shampoo that can provide me enough amounts of lather for my hair. This hair shampoo to me is like can’t even produce lather due to the soap-free properties. So, it then cause my hair to be a little tangle up during the washing and then causing a little hair fall (because I end up suing energy to detangle it). I’ll always end up using hair conditioner for every hair wash. The results of this shampoo is clean and fresh. I wouldn’t say it give my hair the silky smooth feeling. However, this soap is definitely suitable for everyday using.

If you are looking for a shampoo for kids then maybe you can try this hair shampoo because it’s really mild and soap-free with pH balance. If your skin is sensitive then I’ll say it’s a good products for you. And, if you don’t mind of the amounts that lather forms then you probably can try it out.

Will I repurchase? No, if only I have no choice. If you are interested to try, you may buy this product from any of the drugstore or Amazon for US$9.05.

Hope you enjoy reading my post.

Love, Jess

Review

I have try using the real coconut oil to mask and nourish my hair before. So, using coconut oil hair products for me is alright. For oily hair types, you might be afraid of the word “oil”, but trust me this shampoo and conditioner is not that oily at all (the products also stated suitable for all hair types). It lathers really well, leaving the hair smooth, clean and fresh. With the conditioner, my hair has becoming softer and more easier to detangle. I can’t notice for any extra shines but it does nourish my damaged hair ends. Since the hair care range are stated with Vitamin E, I think this is an extra bonus for a healthier hair. One things I must mention is, upon opening both the shampoo and conditioner you will get the scent of the real coconut oil.

Will I repurchase? I will definitely buy this range of shampoo and conditioner if I’m on a budget or really in a rush for use. 😀 Of course, this range can’t beat the higher end hair care products, but there will be times that you just wanna save a little more. Then, this hair care range will be a good choice.

Hope you enjoy reading my post.

Products That is Dissapointed

Hello everyone, today I’m sharing a few products that is dissapointing me after trying it. There’s always some products that we purchased and excited to try for it but didn’t work out like what we have expected. That’s quite sad about it. So to avoid such problems happened on you, I just wanna share a few thoughts of mine for these products.

CP-1 Volume Express and Miniso True Queen Waterproof Eyeliner

  • Miniso True Queen Waterproof Eyeliner

Miniso is a Japan fast fashion brand and headquartered in Tokyo. They do have a wide range of products include household, health and beauty, food and drink, digital gifts and some seasonal products. The price is reasonable with good quality. I have purchased few things before from the Miniso store and the products functioning quite well. However, this eyeliner that I bought I’m very dissapointed about it. It’s stated that is a waterproof gel eyeliner but when I sweat the eyeliner just melts. (I just look like a panda!!!) It’s not long lasting as well. The only good things is its come with a small brush with cap. I think I’ll hardly use this eyeliner again. It’s sad.

Miniso True Queen Waterproof Eyeliner

  • CP-1 Volume Express

This volumizing hair spray do have some good review from other users. It’s used to make you hair look shinny and volumized. It contains water polymer to coats your hair, so that it looks silky and shinny. It’s a water type hair spray, you just have to spray directly to your hair or hair roots. It also says that your curls can last longer with this hair spray. However, it do not impressed me. It has a very strong chemical smells that is unpleasant to me. Besides, after using this my hair is tangled although it does make my hair look less frizzy. My fingers can’t go through my hair smoothly with this products. I purchased this in order to replace my L’Occitance Volumizing hair spray that is quite pricey but I think I’ll still stick to L’Occitance. (See my full L’Occitance hair mist review here)

Jeanie Botanicals

Hello everyone, today I’ll be sharing a local brand from Malaysia name Jeanie Botanicals.

This brand is founded by Jeanie that has been in the nutrition and wellness industry for over the 10 years. This brand provide 100% pure and natural ingredients for beauty, health and wellbeing. The reasons why I love this brand is their products is natural and organic without compromising the quality. I feel that products to be used on skin is better to be organic and harmless.

Here are some of the products that I have been using:

  • Hair & Scalp Treatment Oil

image

A unique blend of 8 hair and scalp-enhancing herbs bathed in 7 natural botanical oils to stimulate, nourish and restore natural shine to all hair types. Oils of neem, coconut and avocado soften and strengthen fine hair, balance dry and itchy scalp, leaving hair soft and manageable.

I used 2-4 drops of this oil on my towel-dry hair every time after my bath. I feel that my hair has become more shiny and soft. I apply this oil to the end of my hair only (I have try to apply it on my scalp after bath but it turns to be too oily and I feel uncomfortable about it). Another way of using it is hot oil treatment that mention in their website, this treatment really do help in reducing itchy scalp problem. If you worried that this oil will be oily for you, just remember a few drops is more than enough and only apply to the end of the hair.

However, this oil do have slight herbal smells (maybe some of you can’t take it) but it’s okay for me after a few times of using it.

  • Aromatic Bath Salt

image

A proprietary blend of relaxing essential oils with Hawaiian black lava salt, Dead Sea salt, Epsom salt and pink Himalayan salt rich in over 84 minerals and trace elements to stimulate circulation, soothe sore muscles and eliminate toxins. This indulgent bath salt softens the skin and gently awakes the senses to enhance your wellbeing.

I have the habit of using bath salt once in awhile especially when I’m tired. This bath salt is different from others when it has the combination of different types of salt in a jar. It just make your skin so smooth and relaxed. Usually I’ll pour this bath salt and mix it with hot water and then just bath with it. It is good for blood circulation. Sometimes after a long walk, I’ll just pour few tablespoons and soak my leg with it.

  • Rose & Neroli Facial Toner

image

This toner is a pure and natural toning elixir formulated from Damask rose and orange blossom (neroli) hydrosols to gently tone and hydrate skin. Hydrosols have similar properties with their essential oils counterpart but they contain water. This beautifying elixir balances skin pH after cleansing while improving the appearance of skin tone and texture.

I use this toner everyday after my bath. I spray it all over my face before my usual skincare steps.  It is a must for me!!! Sometimes we will not directly apply our toner or skincare after bath and this may cause our skin to be dry. Because this toner is a spray type, it is just so easy to apply. I just feel that my skin has been drinking enough water after using this. I even use this after makeup. The bottle is not too big so it’s easy to carry around. I carry this toner with me whenever I go. I’ll just spray all over face when I feel like I need a break. 😃 It do have a scent of Rose that make you feel so good.

  • Liquid Castile Soap (Lavender/Patchouli/Cedarwood)

image

This soap is their best selling item. This original old fashioned recipe is formulated with a high olive oil content that produces a very mild soap with creamy lather, suitable for all ages and skin types. Made with additional glycerin that leaves skin moisturized, smooth and healthy.

From their website, it says that it can be used for face and body and even laundry!!! (I only use this as body shower gel) This soap is suitable for all skin types. After using it, I feel my body is smooth and soft. It has a very nice scent. It doesn’t make the skin to have a dry feeling due to the texture is a bit oily.

All of the above is based on my personal opinions. If you want to know further about their products you may check out their website ( Jeanie Botanicals). Their products price are reasonable. They do have international shipping as well.

After trying out their products, don’t forget to let me know how do you feel. 😊

Love, Jess
